June 2, 20260

As part of The 6-4-3 Foundation’s commitment to the broader community, the Board of Directors voted to establish The 6-4-3 Foundation Scholarship Program at Marietta High School with a minimum three-year commitment of funds. The scholarship is a multi-year award given to a female athlete who has achieved in the classroom, in the community and at her high school sport. It is awarded for college or technical school education and is renewable 2 times over three years after the first year for a total of $4,000.

For the inaugural application cycle, the foundation received five applications from some amazing young women, each playing a different sport. They excelled in the classroom with an average GPA of 4.47, volunteered in their communities in multiple capacities, held jobs and participated at the highest levels of their sport on both high school and club teams. They held leadership roles on their teams and in school clubs and were highly respected by their teachers and coaches.
The 6-4-3 Foundation recognized softball player Genevieve Lindsley Smith at MHS’s annual Scholarship Awards Night in May. Genevieve impressed the board with her academic record including a 4.483 GPA, extensive community involvement and dedication to softball. Her recommendation letters were a testament to her hard work both in the classroom and on the softball field. Her essay outlining life lessons learned through softball and the importance of being a good teammate made a lasting impression on the review committee. Genevieve will attend The University of Georgia this fall.
